Lindsay Brauner (LB): Coach Walz, how are you feeling about your matchup with Cal?
Jeff Walz (JW): We're excited. Cal's a very talented basketball team. Lindsay has done a very nice job with their program. We're going to have our hands full. We're going to have to come out and play extremely hard. Hopefully, we can do what we need to do to find a way to win.
LB: How do you think your shooters are feeling coming off of their huge win against Baylor?
JW: Well I think they're all excited. They're still feeling good about themselves. And they've been practicing well. And hopefully it'll carry over into tomorrow's game.
LB: What do you think the keys will be to winning tomorrow's game? Is it going to be the guard play or the post play?
JW: It's going to be a little bit of both. Cal does a really nice job of getting to the boards. They rebound extremely well and the guards do a good job of pushing the ball in transition. So we're going to have to do a good job of guarding both and it should be a great basketball game.
LB: What are you most excited for in the game?
JW: Just for the opportunity to get out and start playing. The kids have enjoyed this experience. They've enjoyed everything there is that goes along with the Final Four. But I know now that they're getting antsy and they're ready to start playing.
