Cal Baseball at UC Irvine Anteater Game 4 Open Thread

The 4 game series come to a conclusion today between the UC Berkeley Golden Bears and the UC Irvine Anteaters. The Bears had a chance to win all 3 games but was only able to win game one of yesterday's double header. Can Cal escape Irvine with a split? GO BEARS!

Bears got a 8-6 victory over the Anteaters in game 1 of yesterday's double header. In game 2, the Bears actually went ahead with a 3-2 lead in the top of the 10th, only to not only give up the tying run but walked in the winning run. This 4 game series (Eaters won Friday night 5-3 in a game where the Bears had the go ahead run on 3rd with 1 out in the 7th but could not drive him in) conclude today before the Bears head out to Houston to play Baylor, Rice, etc. next weekend.

Listen to the call here (UC Irvine radio). Follow the stats via Gametracker or Cal Baseball twitter (@Cal_Baseball).

Game 4 between Cal Golden Bears (4-2) and No.21/25 UC Irvine Anteaters (5-1): 1 PM PT

Pitching Matchup: Cal LHP Michael Thefanopolous (0-0) vs. UCI TBA

The Bears send out our 3rd lefty to face the Eaters in Tehfanopolous, who had a great outing against Michigan in his season debut (Bears' pen and defense blew the win for him, but came through in the bottom of the 9th).
