Against the Anteater's ace Andrew Thurman and despite only 4+ innings from Cal starter Justin Jones, the Bears had a good opportunity to win the game on Friday night. Bears tied up the game at 3 in the top of the 7th and got a guy (Jacob Wark on his 2nd triple of the day) on 3rd with less than two outs to chase Thurman. However, the Bears ended up stranding that runner and proceed to cough up 2 runs (thanks to more defensive miscues) to the Anteaters to fell 5-3.
The series continue today at noon with a double header.
