Pac-12 Bowl Schedule Set; Where Are All The Pac-12 Teams Going???

Let's see how all the Pac-12 teams are doing during bowl season!

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

Well, all the Pac-12 bowls are set. Unsurprisingly, Cal is not going to a bowl. However, 9 Pac-12 teams are going bowling, which shows how challenging this whole conference is this year. There are only 7 conference bowls, so some teams ended up outside the Pac-12 bowls.

Don't forget to sign up for our bowl fantasy pick em game!Beat us and you can win 2 free tickets to the next time Cal makes it to the Rose Bowl!

What is the schedule this year?

WASHINGTON STATE!

Bowl Location/Tickets Date/Time Network
Gildan New Mexico
Washington State vs. Colorado State
Albuquerque, N.M.
University Stadium
Dec. 21
2 p.m.
ESPN

Based on this GIF from the CougCenter thread, their fans are enthusiastic to go to the New Mexico Bowl. They haven't been to a bowl game in a decade:

USC

Royal Purple Las Vegas
Fresno State vs. USC
Las Vegas
Sam Boyd Stadium
Dec. 21
3:30 p.m.

ABC

Their post at Conquest Chronicles doesn't provide an opinion about the game and there are no comments, so I can't get a bead on their thought process. I presume that USC fans wouldn't be happy about being at the Las Vegas Bowl in a general sense. There is this:

OREGON STATE!

Sheraton Hawaii
Boise State vs. Oregon State
Honolulu
Aloha Stadium
Dec. 24
8 p.m.
ESPN

Oregon State is off to Hawaii. Aloha! They'll be playing on Christmas Eve at 8 PM, which is not the most opportune time. They are facing their Pacific Northwest rival, the Fighting Bob Gregorys. They seem not so optimistic about their chances:

Hawaii Bowl vs BSU not so bad says I

Not a bad bowl for them to weasel themselves into. Any word how much this was on OSUs doing or was it all ESPN as noted above ?

Oh them Beavers

thembeavers

I do fear that BSU will roll the beavers if they don't bring their A game

Oh them Beavers

orangemocha

Better for recruiting than some of the other bowls that have been mentioned

Both schools basketball teams are in the islands too

so it made a great deal of sense to "bundle" hoops with the bowl.

Go Beavs!

I still dont think they should be in a bowl

But since they are, this seems to be a matchup that makes sense.

They’ve owned us the last couple meetings. It’d be nice to get revenge.

Since they are somewhat of a rival, makes it more interesting.

I have a lot of family in Boise. Gives us an opp. to talk a little smack back and forth.

GO BEAVS!!!

WASHINGTON!

Fight Hunger
BYU vs. Washington
San Francisco
AT&T Park
Dec. 27
9:30 p.m.
ESPN

Washington is coming to Cal. I'm not 100% certain who the interim coach is going to be for UW. Or is Petersen going to coach their bowl game? UWDawgPound has a breaking news banner about the game, but no post or discussion regarding it. I suspect that the UW fans will be happy to have a nice vacation to the Bay Area, but not quite so happy about the bowl itself. With only 1 Pac-12 team making the BCS Bowls, it pushed all the teams down a slot or so.

Oregon

Valero Alamo
Oregon vs. Texas
San Antonio
Alamodome
Dec. 30
6:45 p.m.
ESPN

Yes, the Alamo Bowl. After dominating the Pac-12 and making BCS Bowl after BCS Bowl, Oregon is in the Alamo Bowl against Texas. Texas keeps facing off against Pac-12 foes, which is nice. Who to root for here?

Oregon fans are unhappy, but understanding about this bowl. This is not where they expected to be at the start of the season, but after getting blown out by Arizona, it is what it is:

-Sigh

"Can you imagine being the poor guy responsible for chasing down Colt Lyerla when he’s high on cocaine?" That’s a bad day at work… -Scrivey

Rockies7935

We deserve it.

But I agree, sigh.

Jaseface

We do. That's what pisses me off.

It isn’t like the system screwed us. We screwed ourselves. And that AZ loss was inexcusable.

"Can you imagine being the poor guy responsible for chasing down Colt Lyerla when he’s high on cocaine?" That’s a bad day at work… -Scrivey

Rockies7935

Yep.

Don’t lose that game and we’re number three right now.

Hell

Even lose it close and it is probably a different story. To get pimp slapped by an unranked team hurt.

Arizona State!

National University Holiday
Arizona State vs. Texas Tech
San Diego
Qualcomm Stadium
Dec. 30
10:15 p.m.
ESPN

So close to the Rose Bowl, instead to the Holiday Bowl. WHERE HAVE I SEEN THAT SCRIPT BEFORE???? ASU fans are intrigued by this game:

Looking forward to heading home to San Diego...

If it wasn’t the Rose Bowl, for me I am glad it is the Holiday. I get to head back home to San Diego and see my Devils take on the Red Raiders. Winning the Holiday will add another feather to the cap of Todd Graham. With the playoff scenario next year, not sure how the Bowls will work out, however I do have faith in our coach to take us up higher in 2014!

Since I have family in San Diego, I am thinking of hitting up the luncheon, maybe try to get a table with the savings of not having to get a hotel!

Fear the Fork!!

Interesting Game

Texas Tech was a top 10 team at one point this season. ASU should be heavily favored but if Texas Tech can regain their early season form, it could be an exciting match-up. I’m looking forward to it.

Apparently ASU is the road team in this game. I wonder if they’ll bring out some new uni stuff.

Arizona

AdvoCare V100
Arizona vs. Boston College
Shreveport, La.
Independence Stadium
Dec. 31
12:30 p.m.
ESPN

I've never even heard of this bowl. It's on New Year's Eve at 12:30 PM. Not a premiere time, but Arizona will take whatever it can get.

Don't know if many Arizona fans will make their way to Louisiana, but it will be good for the program moving forward to get that little bit of extra practice thanks to playing on New Year's Eve compared to December 21st like the New Mexico Bowl or Vegas Bowl.

UCLA

Hyundai Sun
Virginia Tech vs. UCLA
El Paso, Texas
Sun Bowl
Dec. 31
2 p.m.
CBS

With the ACC getting 2 teams in the BCS, all the ACC teams slotted up (while the Pac-12 slotted down), so this UCLA team should be able to handle a decent, but not outstanding VT team. UCLA fans are excited for the opportunity, even though it is not at a great time:

Taking on a high profile program like Frank Beamer's Virginia Tech is a great opportunity for the Bruins. While the Hokies have been slightly down this year, they still put together a pretty good season. They always have been one of the most fundamentally sound and well-coached programs from the East Coast, and this matchup should have some cross-sectional buzz beyond the West Coast. I am sure Coach Mora and his staff will not mind the Bruins getting some buzz in the Mid-Atlantic region.

...

As Coach Mora mentioned after practice yesterday, the Bruins - especially our seniors - are hungry to get the 10th winand finish their UCLA careers on a high note. So, they didn't really care where and who they were going to play during this bowl season. Let's get that 10th win!

Stanford

Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO
Stanford vs. Michigan State
Pasadena, Calif.
Rose Bowl
Jan. 1
5 p.m.
ESPN

In a surprise turn of events, Rule Of Tree doesn't have an update on this occurrence. Additionally, they don't even really have a post recapping their win over ASU. Instead, they have a post from SBNation about it, which IS WRITTEN BY NAM LE!!!!!! HE'S A SECRET DOUBLE AGENT TAKING US DOWN FROM THE INSIDE!!

So, there you go, there are all of the Pac-12 Bowls. May Cal be listed there next year.

Tell us in the comments who you think is going to win all the bowls?

Here is a list of all the bowls:
