Championship Saturday: Afternoon and Evening Open Thread

Conference championship games galore are on the afternoon college football menu, including the Pac-12 championship game between Stanford and Arizona State

Bob Stanton-USA TODAY Sports

The afternoon and evening college football schedule brings us five conference championship games: the SEC, Pac-12, ACC, Big Ten, and Mountain West will all be decided in winner-takes-the-trophy games. Also at stake in these games are the berths in the BCS National Championship Game. Florida State and Ohio State have the inside tracks: all the Seminoles and Buckeyes have to do is win their respective conference title games. The winner of the SEC Championship Game between Auburn and Missouri will lay in the weeds, hoping for either the 'Noles or Buckeyes to stumble. (And then there's Alabama: could the Tide sneak in?!?)

Here is the schedule for the afternoon and evening action:

Texas at Baylor 12:30 p.m. FOX (HD)
SEC-CG: Auburn vs. Missouri 1:00 p.m. CBS (HD) / CBS Video
South Florida at Rutgers 4:30 p.m. ESPN2 (HD) / WatchESPN
Pac 12-CG: Stanford at Arizona State 4:45 p.m. ESPN (HD) / WatchESPN
ACC-CG: Duke vs. Florida State 5:00 p.m. ABC (HD) / WatchABC
Louisiana Lafayette at South Alabama 5:00 p.m. (ESPN-GP / espn3) / (RCN / Cox4) (cable)
Big Ten-CG: Michigan State vs. Ohio State 5:00 p.m. FOX (HD)
MWC-CG: Utah State at Fresno State 7:00 p.m. CBS (HD) / CBS Video

Oh yeah, then there's another game we're interested in: the Pac-12 title game will decide the Rose Bowl berth. And we all know whom we don't want that berth to go to, amirite?
