With this being Cal, nothing good can be sustained for long -- hope of a star-filled holiday season dimmed a bit on Saturday afternoon, as the Bears are out of contention for Joe Mixon's services.
The Bay Area product says he is down to Wisconsin, Oklahoma and UCLA, and he will be choosing between those schools at the All American Army game on January 4th.
Top 3:Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Ucla! 3 Hats on Table at Army Game!

Disappointing, to say the least, although it is worth noting that Cal already has three committed -- and talented -- running backs in Devante Downs, Tre Watson and Vic Enwere.
For those who want to cling to hope, there's still this:
Man The way I'm Gunna Commit is Gunna Be Too Creative! I Can't Wait! #ArmyBowl #JustWaitOnIt #Jan4th

Joe Mixon names final three of #Oklahoma #UCLA #Wisconsin, which means he'll probably pick #Cal at Army Game :)

But for now, as the news indicates Cal is out, react, complain, cry and pray as you will below in the comments. Sigh.
