The college football coaching dominoes have landed an old friend back in the fray. Jeff Tedford could be on the verge of finding the perfect landing spot for him to get back to work in the college football ranks. Although there were some rumors that Wyoming might be his next landing spot, it's hard to believe that's the best he could come up with.
The Boise State Broncos? Now there's a place where you figure Tedford could do some great things in the long-term.
In the middle of many other rumors, I have confirmed that Jeff Tedford interviewed for the Boise State job.

Obviously, Boise State will have some high expectations after the Chris Petersen era; how on Earth do you top an 88.4% winning percentage? But it does seem to lend itself to a winning football tradition (Dan Hawkins won there, and Koetter did too!). You can recruit the players you want for a pretty successful pro-style scheme and only have to focus a little bit on the academic side of things to really win there.
Boise is coming off its most disappointing season, so the expectations won't be sky high immediately either. Tedford will have time to build. If he does get the job he could get his prized pupil Zach Kline to join him up in the Smurf Turf. Every one gets a second chance in those regards!
What do you think about Tedford at Boise? Is it the perfect place for him to start over?
Update: Or are our lives a lie?
Wut MT @BFeldmanCBS: Contrary to some reports Jeff Tedford has NOT interviewed w #BoiseState for BSU vacancy, source tells CBS.
