Thanksgiving Football Open Thread

Happy Thanksgiving! In addition to giving thanks and feasting, football is an American Thanksgiving tradition.

One of Cal's favorite sons, Aaron Rodgers, will not play today, but his moustache will likely be in action on the Packers sideline.

Happy Thanksgiving, CGB! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. The long weekend, the food, the anticipation of the holiday season coming up, and . . . FOOTBALL!

Thanksgiving is a traditional day for pro football. Three games today, including the traditional games in Detroit and Dallas. Here is the schedule (all times Pacific):

Thursday, November 28
Packers
9:30 AM - FOX
Lions
Raiders

1:30 PM - CBS

Cowboys
Steelers
5:30 PM - NBC
Ravens

There are Cal players to watch today, though Aaron Rodgers will not be one of them. He is still sidelined with the collarbone injury, but the cameras will surely catch his epic mustache on the sideline. Jeremy Ross (WR - Lions) and L.P. Ladoceur (LS - Cowboys) will be in action, however.

There is also college football action. Another Thanksgiving tradition, the Egg Bowl rivalry between Ole Miss and Mississippi State, is on the college football menu. Here's the full schedule for today's televised college football games:

Thursday, November 28th (all times Pacific)
Alabama State vs. Stillman 12:00 p.m. ESPNU (HD) / WatchESPN
Ole Miss at Mississippi State 3:30 p.m. ESPN (HD) / WatchESPN
Texas Tech at Texas 3:30 p.m. FS1 (HD) / FOX Sports Go

Enjoy your food, loosen you belt, and settle in for some football. And talk about it all here on the Thanksgiving football open thread.

I leave you with this Thanksgiving classic.
