Cal All-Time Series vs. the Beavers: 44-18
Last meeting: W, 3-1 (11-4-2012)
Coming off a huge win over the No.20 Oregon Ducks, defending national runner-ups, on Friday night, the Bears will look to stay above 0.500 in Pac-12 play with a victory over the Pac-12 winless Oregon State Beavers. The Beavers were beaten in straight sets by Furd on Friday night. Cal senior outside hitter Adrienne Gehan will look to reach the milestone of 1000 kills with just 5 more kills. She will become only the 15th Cal Bears to reach that mark. Should the Bears be able to beat the Beavers today, they should return to being ranked in the top 25.
"Highlights" (more descriptive and stats than actual game footages) from Pac-12.com:
Bears defeated the Ducks on Friday in a 5 set thriller. It was a total team effort that allowed the Bears to triumph. Middle blocker Lara Vukasovic had a career high 18 kills to go with 10 blocks. Setter Joan Caloiaro had 57 assists and one major kill to end the match.
Cal women's volleyball battled for 5 sets against Oregon and took home the win. Play of the game: http://t.co/MlSI7jKuto

Freshman libero Maddy Kerr tied a Cal record by registering 33 digs on Friday. Kerr tied the record set by former libero Jillian Davis who achieved that feat in a 5 setter against Stanfurd in 2004. Looking up the results from that year, Davis set the mark in a 5 set loss at Furd that year rather than the 5 set win at home.
Cal Volleyball alum update: While looking up that result, I came across Jillian Davis' current website for her budding acting career. Check out her site here. She has apparently also directed and acted in skits for Funny or Die, etc. The best videos were either borderline NSFW or more of an ensemble, but here one below.
GO BEARS!
