Thursday Night Football Open Thread

Cal Hall of Famer Ron Rivera, now head coach of the Carolina Panthers, leads his team against the embattled Tampa Bay Buccaneers in this week's Thursday night NFL game.

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Another Thursday night, another Thursday night with football.

Tonight, we have a Cal connection in the NFL game.  Carolina head coach Ron Rivera, an all-time Cal great at linebacker in the 1980s, has his Panthers in action against NFC South rival Tampa Bay.  Conventional wisdom says that the Panthers will get it done against a Buccaneers team in disarray.

In college football action, here is tonight's schedule of televised games:

Thursday, October 24th (all times Pacific)
Kentucky at Mississippi State 4:30 p.m. ESPN (HD) / WatchESPN
Marshall at Middle Tennessee 4:30 p.m. FS1 (HD)
DII: Delta State at Shorter 4:30 p.m. (CSS / CST) (cable) / espn3

Delta State at Shorter -- who ya got?

As a bonus, we have game two of the World Series tonight.  Feel free to use this thread for that, too, as Cal baseball alum Allen Craig tries to help his Cardinals knot the series.
