After going 5-2 in the last 7 against UCLA (and the two losses were both on last second baskets), can the Bears continue their recent success over the Bruins? The two teams enter this game coming off completely opposite feeling, UCLA are flying high after a big home upset over a then top 10 Missouri team while Cal just suffered a maddening home loss to Harvard (which dropped us by about 40 places RPI-wise). How the Bears response to that loss tonight goes a long way in determining how this season will play out.

UCLA are 8-1 so far this year at home, but the one loss is to a pretty bad Cal Poly team.

Injury update: According to Jeff Faraudo, both Brandon Smith and Ricky Kreklow are still "questionable". Richard Solomon also apparently suffered a "mild concussion" in the Harvard game.

Moving up the history book: Allen Crabbe is currently 25th in Cal's career scoring list with 1181 points. He could be at 22nd after tonight, surpassing John Coughran (1,183), Gene Ransom (1,185) and Ayninde Ubaka (1,194).

Nevertheless, I apparently went on the record and predicted a 87-82 Cal victory in our Q&A with Bruins Nation. Here is their Q&A with us [Spoiler alert: they are counting the days until Ben Howland is fired].
