It's the second Saturday in September, so you know what that means: there's college football to watch. Cal plays at Noon PDT today against Southern Utah on the Pac-12 Network, but you probably knew that already. There will be an open thread for that posted later.
This here is your open thread for all the other morning and early afternoon college football action. And there are some games of interest out there. To wit:
- Miami at Kansas State (9 am PDT, FX): The Canes are in Manhattan, KS. For some reasons, that strikes me as interesting.
- Sacramento State at Colorado (Noon PDT, Pac-12 Network): Of interest because Colorado is our conference brother. And...SACRAMENTO!
- Eastern Washington at Washington State (Noon PDT, Pac-12 Network): Another conference brother playing an FCS team
- USC vs. Syracuse (12:30 PDT, ABC): More than Troy Nunes will have to be an absolute magician for Syracuse to stop Matt Barkley and the Trojans, amirite?
- South Florida at Nevada (12:30 PDT, CBS College Sports): How will the Wolf Pack follow up its win over Cal?
- Wisconsin at Oregon State (1:pm PDT, FX): The Beavs try to get a huge win for the conference.
