This is the thread for those who are watching the primetime NBC coverage. We won't spoil any results for you.
Between the Women's Gymnastic individual all around competition and the final Phelps-Lochte showdown in the pool (200 IM), we might see some Calympians as well (probably in the pool with Anthony Ervin in M. 50 Free and Jessica Hardy in W. 100 Free).
Here is the official NBC description:
Host Bob Costas takes you through an exhilarating day in London where gymnastics sensations Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas go up against stiff competition in Russia’s Aliya Mustafina and Viktoria Komova to become the third U.S. woman in a row to win the Olympic all-around title in women’s gymnastics. Ryan Lochte looks to celebrate his 28th birthday tomorrow with a pair of victories tonight. Lochte will defend his title in the 200m backstroke before going head-to-head against Phelps in the 200m IM. On the women’s side of the pool, Rebecca Soni aims to best the world record she set in the semifinals as she battles for gold in the 200m breaststroke. Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings hope to hold off the field to defend their Olympic crown.
