Will Missy Franklin become the new queen of the 100 Back (after knocking Natalie Coughlin out in the US Trials) and more importantly, will she follow Coughlin's footstep and come to Cal?

If you managed to avoid all Olympic news during the day (work might help with that), this is the thread for you to talk about the primetime coverage.

For the rest of us, this is the place to vent about another NBC directorial mistakes and/or the sappiness of their feel good pieces.

Here is the official NBC description for tonight:

With six medal events on Day Three, host Bob Costas takes you from the pool to the gym to make sure you don’t miss a thing. Ryan Lochte takes on Germany’s Paul Biedermann in the 200m freestyle and Missy Franklin hopes to take over Natalie Coughlin’s spot as champion of the 100m backstroke. Rebecca Soni and Australia’s Leisel Jones will duke it out for the 100m breaststroke. Fans also get to see more of Michael Phelps in the semifinals of the 200m butterfly. Other medal events include the men’s gymnastics team final and the men’s 10m synchronized diving final.

GO BEARS! (even if tonight's coverage doesn't feature any Bears)
