The bad news: Cal lost to Oklahoma last night, which means they must win three games in a row to make the
Championship Series.

The good news: They move to the opposite side of the bracket, away from the red-hot Sooners, and they'll face a team they know they can beat. Cal faces the Oregon Ducks (who had to eliminate Tennessee earlier today) for the right to face the Alabama Crimson Tide tomorrow - hopefully twice.

You may recall that Oregon handed Cal one of their four regular season loses. It was a 1-0 defeat in Eugene as Jessica Moore threw a complete game shut-out. But don't think that Cal can't hit Moore. She started both other games against Cal and allowed 10 runs in 6 2/3 innings. To be fair, 6 of those 10 runs were unearned, but then again Oregon had the lowest fielding percentage in the Pac-12 and defense is probably their biggest weakness.

Meanwhile, Oregon hitters only managed 2 runs and 11 hits over the three game series. That isn't to say that Oregon's lineup doesn't have talent. Five players have hit at least nine home runs this year and seven players hit .300 or higher. But Jolene and Val shut them down earlier this year and they can do it again.

Cal has won three games in a row plenty of times this season. Time to do it again. Go Bears!
