Here is the story from the official site:
BERKELEY - The California men's basketball team is among the eight teams that have been selected to play in the 2012 Anaheim Classic. The sixth-annual three-day tournament will be held over Thanksgiving weekend--Thursday, Friday, and Sunday (Nov. 22, 23, and 25)--at the Anaheim Convention Center, adjacent to Disneyland. The Golden Bears will join Drake, Drexel, Georgia Tech, Pacific, Rice, Saint Mary's College (CA), and Xavier. Cal, Saint Mary's, and Xavier were each participants in the 2012 NCAA Tournament.
The Anaheim Classic will feature 12 games over the three-day schedule, with each team playing one game per day. They will advance through a bracket-tournament format and the two teams that remain undefeated face off in the championship game on Sunday, Nov. 25.
This sounds pretty exciting. I hope we end up playing SMC along the way. I've always wanted the Pac-12 teams to go up against the WCC teams for west coast domination. It keeps almost happening! We almost played them in the NIT last year. Maybe we'll finally get that chance for this Thanksgiving 2012 Tournament.
When we know more about this tournament or any other important MBB, we'll provide you the information. So, keep it locked here and GO BEARS!
