Tight End Jackson Moffett Transfers To The Bears

Or at least that is what he is saying on Twitter

Some news:

Jackson Moffett appears to be a tight end previously on Marist:

2011: Did not appear in any games.

Prior to Marist: Played three years of varsity football. ... Named First Team All-League and Honorable Mention All-Area. ... Was named his team's Most Improved Player as a senior. ... Team won league championships as a junior and senior. ... Also played one year of varsity lacrosse and was a member of the track & field team for one year.

General: Born April 15, 1993. ... The son of Hillary Marble. ... Enjoys traveling, wakeboarding, surfing and music festivities.

Marist is an FCS school located in Poughkeepsie, New York. However, NCAA transfer rules still apply, so I'd guess that Moffett still has to abide by transfer rules and sit out a season before he can actually play on the field.

I'd also guess Moffett is a walk-on unless we are deficient on scholarships for whatever reason. He might be transferring back to be close to home and get a chance to somehow make the team as a regular contributor--he hails from Stockton.
