Cal W. Soccer hosts No. 1 Stanfurd Open Thread

Did you notice that it's the new Pac-12 Networks with a "S" there at the end for plural? Starting at 11 AM PT today, there will actually be TWO simultaneous Cal athletic events on the Pac-12 Networks. On Pac-12 Bay Area and this thread, it will be a huge soccer bout between No. 13/23 Cal Women's Soccer hosting No. 1 Stanfurd. Over on Pac-12 Oregon (and possibly Pac-12 National), Cal Volleyball takes on Oregon State.

Last Week, the Bears were unable to upset No. 2 UCLA but did beat USC. Although a Pac-12 conference title is now out of the questions (it has indeed been clinched by Furd), the Bears can still ruin No. 1 Stanfurd's quest for a perfect conference season. With a solid record and No. 13/23 (depends on your favorite ranking) ranking, the Bears are pretty much a lock for the tournament already, but a win today can really boost their potential seeding, not to mention confidence.

By the way, it is Senior Day for the Bears. So win one for the Seniors, who have lost 4 straight to Stanfurd.
