*"El Classico" is the name for soccer matches between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid...who are playing this Sunday.

Coming off a home 3-1 loss to the tough UCLA squad that also snapped a 6 game unbeaten streak, Bears will next face rival Stanfurd on the road. Both teams are coming off 3-1 losses to UCLA and are somewhat equally matched (since this game will be at The Farm).

From Cal Athletics:

Common Opponents
Cal and Stanford have played five common opponents so far - Santa Clara, San Francisco, Loyola Marymount, San Diego State and UCLA - and the Bears have produced a 3-1-1 record against them (2-1 win at Santa Clara on Sept. 24, 0-0 2 OT tie vs. USF on Sept. 16, 1-0 win vs. LMU on Sept. 23, 1-0 win vs. SDSU on Sept. 28 and 3-1 loss vs. UCLA on Sept. 30). Stanford has a 2-3-0 record against those five - 1-0 win over USF on Sept. 24, 2-1 loss to Santa Clara on Sept. 16, 2-1 overtime loss to LMU on Sept. 21, 3-1 loss to UCLA on Sept. 28 and 2-0 win over SDSU on Sept. 30.

Bears tied and loss the matches against Furd last year. This should be a good one.

GO BEARS!
