UPDATE: Keenan Allen now out:
Cal just announced WR Keenan Allen is ruled out of Friday's game vs. Washington due to injury. More details to come
Farudo now saying that Allen may be done for season:
The scuttlebutt is that Allen may be done for the season. Cal is not confirming that. Stay tuned.
Tedford: Keenan Allen's diagnosis is PCL injury. He's looking at two-three week recovery according to
@DanGreenspan. Cal has 3 games left.
As if we were not already furious with special teams play against Utah, Keenan Allen was injured in a meaningless onside kick attempt with just over a minute left in the game. His status for UW is now uncertain after Gorcey reports that he was not practicing today.
Faraudo says this is not yet official and will try to find out more this afternoon.
Let me make sure there is no misunderstanding here: There is no official report from Cal on Allen’s condition and I have no first-hand information.
I was not at Berkeley this morning when players came off the field and walked past reporters to the dressing room. But Ryan Gorcey of BearTerritory reports that Allen did not appear to be at practice and that he was told Allen may have been injured during an onside kick try in the 49-27 loss to the Utes.
This is why you do not play your starters during garbage time.
