College Football Week 9: Open Thread for all non-Cal action!

In a matchup of traditional powers, Notre Dame and Oklahoma meet in the Sooner state tonight

Tim Heitman-US PRESSWIRE

Week 9 of the college football season is here. With November almost upon us, it is time to scrutinize those BCS standings and figure out who is in the best position to end up playing for all the Tostitos come January. With Alabama the consensus king of the college football world and occupying the #1 spot in the BCS standings, the intrigue is in the race for the # 2 spot. Florida has it now, but will the Gators be there at the end? Or will it be Kansas State? Or Oregon? Or Notre Dame?

One thing is for sure: if you want to be # 2, you probably can't afford to stumble. All the contenders are in action today. This is your open thread as you follow their games and all the other televised action in Week 9.

By now, you know the drill. But if you don't, this is your open thread for the non-Cal games only. We'll have our usual separate game thread for the Cal-Utah game posted a few hours before that one kicks off in Salt Lake City.

See below for a list of televised games. A full schedule can also be found here.
