Cal Volleyball vs. USC Open Thread

In the midst of a tough stretch of matches, Bears (9-7, 3-3) hosts two top 10 team in the LA schools this weekend. First comes the No. 6 Trojans (16-3, 4-3) tonight. GO BEARS!

Coming off the most impressive outing this season, a 3 set sweep over Oregon State at home, the extremely injury depleted Bears face another tough challenge in the 6th ranked USC Trojans tonight. Trojans were just swept by Furd on Wednesday, which would either mean that they are vulnerable or that much more focused.

Did you know?: New Cal setter, USF transfer Joan Caloiaro, is 3-times Olympic Gold medalists Kerri Walsh (Jennings)'s cousin (that why I used her picture for this article)? SF Chronicle has a story here. Key quote from Kerri Walsh:
