So, the season has come down to this. The Bears are up against the wall, as are their opponents from Stillwater. This double-elimination tournament has left Cal halfway home, and the Cal women softballers have to be determined to keep it that way for the next three games.

Jolene Henderson will be pitching, and is likely to be her rock steady self. But Cal's bats will have to wake up a little bit more to ensure Henderson gets the support she needs to be victorious. It could be another low-scoring affair as the Bears will take on either Kat Espinosa or Simone Freeman, although neither is quite the intimidator that Kelsi Dunne was on Thursday for Alabama. Oklahoma State also isn't a power hitting team, so that should work fairly well for her.

With potentially four games in two days needed to stay alive, it'll be crucial for Cal to get the bats going early and ensure maximal rest for Henderson along the way. Time to start mashing!
