From NorCalNick: Before Cal’s season closing clash with Stanford the Bears must complete their final non-conference game and final road game of the season. They will do so in Stockton against the Pacific Tigers (16-34, 8-13 Big West) who surprisingly beat Cal in Berkeley earlier in the year by a score of 7-4. Kevin Miller started the previous game against the Tigers and eventually allowed four runs in four innings, though his defense didn’t help his cause. Cal’s lineup had a solid day but left an impressive 12 men on base.
Righty Chris Larsen will start the game for Pacific, but he typically throws out of the bullpen and is unlikely to throw more than an inning or two as the Tigers will likely rely on a series of pitchers tonight. Go Bears!
