Shane Vereen is going to do great things in the pros. He can run by committee. He can come out of the backfield and catch the ball. He can be a workhorse. He can play in short yardage. He's the prototypical NFL running back, and he belongs on a good pro team.
And he just found the ideal spot for him: Lining up next to Tom Brady, and trying to help bring the New England Patriots another Super Bowl championship. Vereen could be an immediate contributor to one of the weakest rush offenses in the country, and hopefully provide that necessary ingredient that makes the Pats winners once again.
