Do you hear that? That's the sound of one team opening its pocketbook to make Cameron Jordan a millionaire. That's right, the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft is upon us. Cam is in attendance at the Radio City Music Hall in New York. Coverage for the event starts at 5pm on ESPN and the NFL Network. Plenty of teams are interested in Cam and the latest projections have him going as soon as 9th overall. Let's take a look at his potential suitors:
Dallas Cowboys (9th): Mel Kiper is the only one projecting Cam as a top-10 overall pick.
Washington Redskins (10th): Yahoo Sports/NFPost.com predict Cam will join Washington.
Minnesota Vikings (12th): The consensus seems to be that Jordan will be drafted by Minnesota. Don Banks of Sports Illustrated, Todd McShay of ESPN, Rob Rang of CBS Sports, and Chad Reuter of CBS Sports all have Cam continuing the Jordan family legacy at Minnesota.
Jacksonville Jaguars (16th): In the plausible scenario that Minnesota opts for Jake Locker instead of Cameron Jordan, Jordan could rejoin Tyson Alualu by going to Jacksonville. Pete Prisco of CBS Sports believes Minnesota will draft Locker and Jordan will go to Jacksonville.
New England Patriots (17th): None of the most recent mock drafts have Jordan going to New England, but it was one of his most likely destinations in mock drafts earlier this month. Rumor has it New England will trade up to draft him, perhaps by trading for Dallas' first round pick. Some dispute those rumors, however.
San Diego Chargers (18th): If none of the above decide to take Jordan, he'll stay in California and head down the San Diego. Peter King of Sports Illustrated and ESPN's NFL bloggers' consensus has Cam chosen by San Diego.
