Best Of California Golden Blogs - 2008

We've been updating some of the big picture posts here at CGB. For example, we updated our FAQ and our Community Guidelines. Now, we're working on updating our Best Of section. We haven't updated this since 2009, so this was a lot of work. An enjoyable type of work to go look back and see all the great posts CGB has put forward in the last few years. We've been at SBN since 2008. Since then, there have been dozens and dozens of great posts by the mods, but also you, the readers. To make this easy, we've split it up by year.

You'll be able to find all this information on a page available here. Soon, we'll have this available on the sidebar so that you can peruse your CGB favorites whenever you want. After the jump, you'll find the text of the page, so you can see all the great posts for yourself. Of course, not all of these come from a CGB mod. We've also included fanposts that were popular or we felt were incredible work. Who knows? You might just find a post of yours on the other side of the jump. If you think there is a post that should be included in the Best Of, don't hesitate to email us or post it in the comments. We moved from Blogsome.com to SBN in May of 2008. It was a large jump, but it allowed us to develop our community better thanks to the vastly superior commenting system at SBN. For a while, there were not that many comments on threads. However, in the summer/fall of 2008, the tree-sitter situation blew up. People starting coming in larger numbers to discuss how much they hated Dumpster Muffin and Ayr. As disastrous as that was for Cal, the whole stadium lawsuit/tree-sitter thing was probably the best thing to happen to CGB. We've been improving our traffic and posts ever since.

We've organized the posts by category, so we hope you can find them a bit easier there. There are a lot of them! Enjoy!
