Cal Men's Swimming & Diving Captures Third National Championship

The California Golden Bears are kings and queens of the water. A week after the Cal women captured the national championship in swimming and diving for the second time in three years, it was the men's turn to take home the top prize for the first time in nearly three decades.

Congrats go to Dave Durden, who after four excellent seasons has led the Bears back to national prominence. It's another feather in the cap of athletic director Sandy Barbour, who continues her string of top-quality hires for the Bears.

50 yard freestyle: Nathan Adrian, 1st place, 18.66 s (American record)
100 yd free: Nathan Adrian, 1st place, 41.10 s (pool record)
