Pre-game material: UCLA Preview by norcalnick | Interview with Bruins Nation | Relive the 25th anniversary of the end of The Streak!
This is pretty much dire territory for the Golden Bears. A loss will drop Cal under .500 for the first time all season, meaning they'd pretty much have to win their final three games to clinch a realistic shot at the NIT (with a road trip to Oregon and a rivalry game with the Furd to close things out, it's hard to see anything better than two out of three). Cal needs to rebound from another gutty loss to USC in a hurry, and with Allen Crabbe not a certainty to play, it's a game they might need to win shorthanded.
Unfortunately, they're playing a Bruins team that has just as much at stake. UCLA controls its own destiny with regards to the Pac-10 conference title, as the Bruins can win out and take at least a share of the crown with Arizona. The Bruins are pretty much in the tournament barring a drastic collapse, but every win improves their seeding chances and increases their ability to go further. Can Cal play spoiler to UCLA's chances?
