Cal will now be playing in five straight games to wrap up the regular seasons, and all of them are essentially toss-ups. The Bears will probably be participating in some very close contests, like they have all season long and particularly in the Pac-10 season.
This will be a tough one. The Bears are coming off of three straight losses that pretty much ended their tournament chances, so fan turnout could be depressed, especially with such tumultuous weather in the Bay Area. The generally positive homecourt advantage could be depressed. USC could also be looking for revenge for their loss at the Galen Center, and it's not likely Nikola Vucevic will be thoroughly shut down like he was the last time he played Harper Kamp. Kamp had one of his best games of the season against the Trojans, but he was in a funk last week. Both Kamp and Jorge Gutierrez are going to have step their games up to get a critical Cal victory, especially if Allen Crabbe is limited. They sure can't let Donte Smith get going again.
