College Football Week 13: Friday Games Open Thread

The top-ranked LSU Tigers will celebrate an undefeated regular season and a trip to the SEC championship game if they can beat the third-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks today.

Welcome to Black Friday.  If you are not participating in retail madness, maybe you are watching some college football.  It's a Cal football gameday today as the Bears close the regular season at Arizona State, but we have all day to wait until tonight's 7:15 pm PST kickoff in Tempe.  Until then, there are enough games on TV to keep you interested.  Among the more interesting (all times Pacific):

  • Houston at Tulsa (9:00 am, FSN):  The Cougs try to stay undefeated and crash the BCS pah-tay.
  • Iowa at Nebraska (9:00 am, ABC):  For years, I thought of the Friday after Thanksgiving as Nebraska vs. Colorado.  But that old Big XII rivalry is no more.  Instead, we have a Big1T2en battle of the corn states.  So this conference realignment stuff feels real today!  And get this:  this one is dubbed "The Heroes Game," complete with The Heroes Trophy!  Who doesn't want to watch that?!?
  • Arkansas at LSU (11:30 am, CBS):  This is the headliner game of the day.  Top-ranked LSU tries to stay undefeated against third-ranked Arkansas.  This should be a good one.
  • Colorado at Utah (12:30 pm, FSN):  A Pac-12 "rivalry" game.  Utah has the Pac-12 South Division championship still in its sights. This game is important to us because if Utah loses, UCLA clinches the Pac-12 South, and ASU has nothing to play for other than bowl positioning tonight.
  • Pittsburgh at West Virginia (4:00 pm, ESPN):  This is the Backyard Brawl!  And it's at night.  In Morgantown.  The crowd will be...lubricated.
Click here for a full schedule of today's televised games (and see it also after the jump).  Talk about any or all of them on this thread, except the Cal-ASU game; we'll have our customary game day thread for that one.  Enjoy the games.  Save some energy for the Cal game tonight!
