Welcome to the 21st century, Golden Bears fans! Cal is having a social media day. I am not aware of any other school doing anything like this (although that might just be my own ignorance more than anything). Read this!
BERKELEY - The California Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will host the first-ever Cal Social Media Day on Tue., Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. PT. Fans of the Golden Bears will have the unique opportunity to interact with their favorite Cal coaches and student-athletes via various forms of social media.
Select coaches and student-athletes will participate in live video interviews, conducted using fan questions. Fans can submit questions via the on-going Live Chat as well as Twitter and Facebook. Use the hashtag #calsmd to submit a question!
Here is the schedule for the day:
