Our football team didn't get to go to a bowl game, so the NFL was kind enough to reward us with a big-time feature matchup of Cal alum in the NFL that might as well substitute for those purposes. Two of the greatest Golden Bears (perhaps THE greatest of the Jeff Tedford era) get to showcase their talents on a late afternoon in frigid Philadelphia. While it's not likely fireworks will fly, both should hopefully exhibit some signature moments.

In a game where offense gets all the noise and defense none of the glory, don't think Bishop won't have something to say before all is said and done.
After the jump, Jeff Tedford gives a ten minute interview talking about Jackson, Rodgers and Bishop, and Rodgers and Jackson praise each other and ponder what it would have been like to play with each other as Golden Bears.
Tedford went onto Eagles Live and had nothing but the highest praises for all three Golden Bears.
Rodgers and Jackson think about what could have been at Cal, but marvel at each other's talents in the league. Sam Donnellon of the Philadelphia Daily News with the report.
"Obviously, I was wishing that he had stayed," Jackson said yesterday. "I never really knew what he was going to do. It's not a big deal - it's no different than somebody wishing I had stayed instead of leaving after my junior year."
Rodgers did return to Cal for visits a few times, and the two got to know each other. They keep in touch during the season - "Us Cal guys stick together," Rodgers said - and both savored the chance to play with each other, finally, in last year's Pro Bowl.
"He's a good dude, man," Jackson said.
"He's a talented guy," Rodgers said. "He's in a class all by himself with the kind of talent he's got."
