When we left off Mike Mohamed had picked off a pass to put Cal up big at half. But that excitement was nothing compared to the excitement, the power, and the glory of ALUMNI BAND DAY!
Normally, the alumni band does its own show during the halftime of Alumni Band Day. However, fora reason that was unclear to me, that did not happen. Some people said that the alumni band halftime show got squeezed out, because it was also National Championship Week and the school needed time to do those presentations. Others said that the alumni band was lucky and got included in the actual band show. Who knows what the reason was, but the Cal Band "Girls" show included a bunch of older, richer people in their show this week.
The Girls show consisted of songs with the word Girl in the title. It led to the hilarity of the announcer stating in his usual pause-filled cadence "I...kissed a....girl." Thanks, dude! I've done it too, but I don't have to brag to 65,000 of my best friend about it. Goddamn!
The only problem? Somebody lost their music on the ground. Ruh roh!
A clear highlight was the band(s) making the image of the front of the door to a women's bathroom:
"Where's the neck?"

Mitchell Schwartz told us something we could have already kinda guessed. He likes food:
The players talked about times they got in trouble as a kid. The situation to me is that these are always funny and enjoyable. However, they also cut into time that the band could be playing. Would rather have the band playing.
Soon, things got out of hand and we saw some of the back ups:

After the game, the band marched down with the alumni band.
Where they went to an alumni reception to watch the halftime show of the day. Yes, the "girls" show:
