Tedford & Company

  • Viliami Moala, DT, James Sample, S, Shaq Thompson, ATH {2012} Grant Union (Sacramento, CA) selected to Delta Valley All-Conference Team [1]. Moala was named Lineman of the Year.
  • Darryl Paulo, LB, Puka Lopa, DE Grant Union (Sacramento, CA) have their Cal scholarship offers [2]. Cal, Oregon State, and Arizona State have all offered the Grant foursome of Moala, Sample, Paulo, and Lopa. Lopa was named Delta Valley Defensive Player of the Year and Paulo All-Purpose Player of the Year [3].
  • Brendon Bigelow, RB Central East (Fresno, CA) has Oregon, Washington, Cal as his final choices [4]. Bigelow has expressed interest to play in a spread offense at the next level. Oregon has also offered Bigelow's teammate B.J. Kelley who has Oregon high on his list [$5].
  • Colt Lyerla, ATH Hillsboro (Hillsboro, OR), Brennan Scarlett, DE/TE Central Catholic (Portland, OR) both visited UCLA [6][7].

Scarlett has also visited Cal, Notre Dame, Stanford, USC earlier.

Lyerla was named Pacific Conference Offensive Player of the Year [8]. He may have USC, Oregon, UCLA, Oklahoma, Miami as his leaders.
  • Marqise Lee, ATH, Serra (Gardena, CA) received USC coaches at home [9]. They will visit George Farmer, WR next [10][11]. Farmer will most likely visit USC late December or January. Jason Gibson, OLB appears to be strongly considering Oregon [12].

Farmer is selected as a finalist to US Army All-American Player of the Year Award [13].
  • Todd Barr, DT Lakewood (Lakewood, CA) is probably staying out on the West Coast [14]. Cal may be the team to beat [15], but the rumors have Barr leaning towards Oregon [16].

A high motor guy with great technique who constantly is getting a push on the line. He gets a great jump off the ball using his quickness to beat his defenders. Todd is an athletic defensive lineman who could play tackle or end at the next level. He looks as if he could still add some more bulk to his upper body but overall is a phenomenal prospect. His athleticism cannot be undervalued as Lakewood lined him up in the slot, and in the backfield, both positions showing how talented he is. He is a top level BCS school player. Had 1.5 sacks on Friday night while showing his athleticism against a very good Alemany offensive line [17].

  • Bryce Treggs, WR St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA) {2012} excited about his Cal offer [$25].

"Cal just offered me this week and I'm really excited," Treggs said. "They came to my school and talked to my coach, Jason Negro, and then offered a scholarship. My dad played at Cal so he was really excited for me as well. I took a visit to Cal when they played UCLA this year and I have a high interest for sure.
