Friday Night Lights

  • Richard RodgersSt. John's Pioneers rallied past Nashoba 31-21 for the Central MA Division 1 Super Bowl Championship [1][2]. Richard Rodgers, TE (Cal) caught 1 TD before halftime.
  • Northern Guilford Nighthawks (Greensboro, NC) advances to the NC State Championship game by defeating Wilson Hunt 28-20 [3][4][5]. Maurice Harris, WR (Cal) caught a TD before halftime.

  • Summit Skyhawks (Fontana, CA) advanced to CIF Eastern Division championship game by beating Phelan Serrano 35-26 [7][8]. Devon Blackmon, ATH caught 4 passes including 1 16yd TD pass
  • Saguaro Sabrecats (Scottsdale, AZ) defeated Canyon del Oro 41-34 for the AZ Class 4A Division 1 championship [9][10][11]. Cyrus Hobbi, OG played both ways injured and refused to come out of the game.
  • Jalen JeffersonSt Bonaventure Seraphs (Ventura, CA) and Jalen Jefferson, ATH (Cal) ousted in the playoffs by Westlake 27-37 [12].
  • Vista Panthers (Vista, CA) squeezed by Torrey Pines 20-17 [13]. Stefan McClure, CB had a 36yd reception at WR and a 44yd punt return to setup the Panthers into the Division 1 championship game.

    McClure's nickname is either "Hollywood" or "Mr. Universe [14]."
  • Salesian Pride (Richmond, CA) routed Ferndale 76-28 in the CIF North Coast Section Division IV [15]. Freddie Tagaloa, OT 6-7/318lbs {2012} had his running back behind him and did most of the damage by racking up 277 yds and 4 TDs.
  • Valley Christian Warriors (San Jose, CA) lost to Palo Alto 14-21 [16][17][18][19][20][21]. Byron Marshall, RB {2012} finished w/ 120 total yds and 2 TDs.
  • San Ramon Valley Wolves (Danville, CA) lost out to California in the semifinals 7-24 [22][23][24][25]. Zach Kline, QB (Cal) {2012} was sacked 7 times and picked off twice, completing 13 of 20 passes for 130 yds.
  • Grant Union Pacers (Sacramento, CA) lost to Folsom in the rematch for the championship game 20-41 [26][27]. Shaq Thompson, ATH {2012} managed 13 carries for 98 yds and caught a TD returning from his ankle injury.
