TwistNHook Note: Thanks, CBKWit, for posting this! For those who didn't watch the game, Cal won!!!! 57-54. And, thanks to Stanford defensive strategy to double team Ashley Walker, Alexis Grey-Lawson absolutely went OFF! She scored 37 of those 57 points. More on this in the next few days. Go Bears!
Ed's Note: Not sure why this wasn't posted - Twist scheduled it go up at 1:30 this afternoon. We could blame the SportsBlog Nation, but Twist is an easier target, so let's blame him. Anyways, Cal is up by 3 at half, here's hoping they come to play in the second half and avenge last year's defeat at Haas. - CBKWit.
They always say sequels are worse than the originals. But after yesterday's frustrating loss to Stanford, here's hoping Cal v. Stanford II is better. It's got a huge twist. Bruce Willis is dead. Also, a whole different gender is playing today. This is exactly like an M. Night Shamalyahnwofhnwaf movie, except hopefully it won't suck! And, most likely, fewer emotionally uplifting alien attacks.
Unless you think Jayne Appel is an alien. Which, I do. Although, to be fair, I won't be emotionally uplifted by anything Jayne Appel does today.
"What a horrifying alien visage!!!" via grfx.cstv.com
Long story short (a problem M. Night always has), here is the pertinent information:
Sunday, Jan. 18, 3:00 p.m.: No. 9/7 Stanford at No. 11/9 Cal Berkeley, Calif. (Radio: KALX 90.7 fm, TV: Sunday, FSN)
Tickets are only 10 bucks and it is general admission, so get out there to enjoy the game. It is not every day that you can get avenge a Stanford loss the very.next.day! Which, hopefully, Cal will do. Go Bears!
