Fantasy Week in Review - Week 9

I was totally swamped at work last week, and didn't get to write last week's edition.  Sorry.  So I check this week's matchups, and what do I find?

PLAYOFFS?  PLAYOFFS!

It doesn't seem as if last week's matchups would have made a difference because of the current standings:

But wow.  5 game winning streak for the Longshorebos, the second most points scored in the league, and a 5-5 record?  Man.  Sorry, CBKWit.
Not that that sorry, though!  This week's matchups feature The Lawnmower, led by Chase Daniel and Javon Ringer, going up against the Golden Zigers, with Matt Grothe, Michael Crabtree, and USC kicker David Buehler and the USC defense. 

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure that's grounds for immediate forfeiture right there.  Also, Matt Grothe's on a bye and Golden Ziger's only backup QB is Cullen Harper.  I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict he picks up Jimmy "The Chosen One" Clausen against Boston College.  Robert Griffin is available, but he and Baylor face Texas.  Might not be a good idea.

The other semifinal matchup this week is between hydro_tech and the Bear Necessities, with hydro's charges being led into battle by Juice Williams and Dez Bryant, up against Graham Harrell, Evan Royster, and A.J. Green.  Should be a barnburner.

Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the smackdown I laid on the Maharg two weeks ago.

Also, the Pick'Em is coming down to the wire.  Again, we're not sure if we'll actually have anything to give away (anyone want my J.J. Arrington jersey?....Anyone?) but it might be a moot point anyway if either Rags or I win.
