Zach Kline Quote - Recruiting Practices

Gotta like the kid... "Quarterback Zach Kline of Danville, Calif., long pledged to Cal, continued to hear from other schools for months after making his commitment. The most persistent suitor? Michigan. Kline said he liked all the Michigan coaches but finally told them to stop wasting their time. "It gets annoying," Kline said. "But you find out it's a business, and these players generate a whole lot of money. You've got to look at it and remember each of these players is extremely valuable. We're all pieces in a big puzzle for them."

Under Armour High School Football Practice Open Thread

There's an All-Star game with plenty of Cal commits/recruits in a few hours (and CGB will have an open thread for that), but if you want to pass the time and have nothing to do at work, Zach Kline, Darius Powe are doing work on ESPNU from 1-4 PM PT. Click the link above to watch it on ESPN3 starting at the top of the hour. Ok I lied, it apparently is only on ESPNU. Stupid ESPN3. Other Cal targets at the game: OT Joey O'Connor, DT Eddie Goldman, ATH Davonte Neal. The game will be January 5th at 4:30 PM, and CGB will have an open thread for that contest.
