Carli Lloyd and the California Golden Bears women's volleyball beat the Stanford Cardinal in the 73rd Big Spike three sets to one. All Cal needs is one more win to clinch the Pac-10 crown.
The fourth ranked California Golden Bears women's volleyball team went into Seattle and beat the Washington Huskies 15-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-21. Tarrah Murrey had 23 kills and 10 digs, Carli Lloyd notched up 37 assists and 18 digs, and Megan Schmitt and Robin Rostratter had 11 and 12 digs respectively.
The second ranked California Golden Bears women's volleyball team was swept by the USC Trojans at Haas Pavilion. Cal had no answer for the fierce hitting of Falyn Fonoimoana & Alex Jupiter.
The third ranked California Golden Bears women's volleyball team kept the best start and best ranking in the program's history by sweeping the Oregon State Beavers. Carli Lloyd led the way with six kills and 34 assists, and Shannon Hawari, Correy Johnson and Kat Brown all helped out the struggling Tarrah Murrey.
The 5th ranked Cal women's volleyball team went into Palo Alto and beat the 2nd ranked Stanford Cardinal in four sets, 21-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-16, winning the first leg of the Big Spike. Carli Lloyd netted 52 assists, Tarrah Murrey had 21 kills and got great support from Kat Brown, Shannon Hawari, Adrienne Gehan and Correy Johnson.
The sixth ranked Golden Bears women's volleyball team rebounded from their first loss, recovering from a slow start and beating the Washington State Cougars in four sets.
