5. Cal Class of 2005
Top Players - DeSean Jackson, Tyson Alualu, Syd'Quan Thompson, Zack Follett, Desmond Bishop, Cameron Morrah, Anthony Felder, Lavelle Hawkins
Cal has earned a reputation for bringing in top talent but never really being able to win with it and the fact that they didn't win more games with this huge haul that they brought in with the 2005 class is very supportive evidence for that argument. Jackson was one of the most explosive players in recent conference history and Alualu, Thompson, Follett and Bishop were All-Conference stalwarts.

I know Cal‘s a school where I’d really have to apply myself but I just I just have the impression that, not only am I going to be happier and more satisfied there, also I know I’d be able to concentrate more and be able to take care of my work more reliably there.
It’s a great vibe for me up there. I love it.
