UNLV defeats Cal 76 - 75 on last-second putback by Quintrell Thomas.
(Follow the link to watch the video!) This Sunday, Bryan Anger put on a great display - not even over the course of a game, but all in one play. We all know Bryan's a gamer from his time here at Cal - but now, the NFL knows it too. Not only did he boom a 72-yard punt, but then after getting passed by the punt returner, Anger runs him down AND makes a beautiful tackle to save a touchdown! When a play like that happens - yeah, you're gonna make the highlight reel. Check it out! GO Bears!!
Michael Layefsky captured this amazing aerial photo of Memorial Stadium during last week's game against the Oregon Ducks. Michael lifts his camera aloft using helium balloons and kites, and shares his work on flickr.
Congratulations to former Golden Bears standout and Oakland A's manager Bob Melvin for being named the MLB American League Manager of the Year! After a dramatic finish to a 94-win season that saw the A's use 19 rookies (briefly including an all-rookie starting rotation!), this is a well-deserved award.
Apparently this is the beginning of a series of blog posts on Yahoo!'s Fourth-Place Medal about Heather Petri's (Water Polo) trip to Rwanda and Uganda with Right to Play. Natalie Coughlin is apparently also a part of the trip.
