The California Golden Bears have to stop the bleeding fast. Cal's 4-1 miraculous start is long in the rearview mirror, replaced by a 4-4 team that is in desperate need of a win. It has to come now against the Oregon St. Beavers.
This is a practical must-win for the Bears if they are to have any hopes of finishing the season with a bowl game. They will be heavy underdogs against both USC and Stanfurd, and BYU is no gimme regardless of how vulnerable they look right now. Oregon State has had our number lately due to our sputtering offense, but the Bear Raid is the best offense Cal has had in a long time. Whether they will overcome our struggling defense will be the big question of the day.
