A program-best three men’s basketball student-athletes have earned this season’s Pac-12 All-Academic laurels, the conference announced Tuesday. Sam Singer, Stephen Domingo and Roger Moute a Bidias all picked up honors for their standout success in the classroom.

All three were awarded honorable mention status on this year’s academic team, which matches the second-most honors of any Pac-12 program. Cal’s three selections also match a program record total, alongside 2001 trio Ryan Forehan-Kelly, Dennis Gates, and Morgan Lingle’s three honors.

Singer, a Business Administration major in the prestigious Haas School of Business, has earned All-Academic status each of the three years he was eligible. He owns a 3.0 grade point average. Singer has played in all but three games of his Golden Bear career, including all 30 games this season. He is averaging 4.9 points in 20.8 minutes.

Fellow Haas School of Business classmate Domingo, who was a second team all-academic last season, has a 3.021 GPA and has seen time in 27 games this season while averaging 13.0 minutes off the bench.

With a 3.021 GPA, Moute a Bidias picks up his second honor after earning honorable mention as a sophomore in 2015. An Interdisciplinary Studies major, Moute a Bidias started in seven games this season and has contributed an average of 2.7 points in 27 appearances.
