Cal alum and NFL All-Pro center Alex Mack spent much of his career languishing in obscurity in Cleveland. He moved onto Atlanta this season and signed a huge contract, and started to bring the Falcons offensive line together to become one of the best in college football.
Last offseason, the Falcons got Matt Ryan a new bodyguard. He can thank Alex Mack for his huge year (with @StateFarm) pic.twitter.com/uhp8ZzA7vp

Now, in his first playoff appearance, Mack and the Falcons have a chance to win their first ever championship! The Falcons stormed through the NFC playoffs, whipping both the Seahawks and the Packers on their way to Super Bowl LI.
Super stoked for Alex Mack. So glad he's getting this opportunity.

Three former Cal players – Trevor Davis, Aaron Rodgers and Richard Rodgers – saw action for Green Bay in Sunday's NFC Championship loss to the Falcons. Aaron Rodgers completed 27-of-45 passes for 287 yards with three touchdowns and one interception while adding four rushes for a game-high 46 yards on the ground. Richard Rodgers and Trevor Davis participated in the contest but other than a fair catch by Davis did not record any stats.
Can Mack keep the streak going for Cal Bears winning titles? CJ Anderson won last year, Shane Vereen the year before and Marshawn Lynch the year before that!
