We haven't seen the last of Jordan Mathews in college. The Cal grad transfer has picked Gonzaga as his next destination.

As you might already know, Cal will play Gonzaga in a home-and-home this upcoming season. The Bears are scheduled to visit Spokane in the non-conference slate. Thankfully we're spared the conflicting emotions of Mathews returning to Cal for a game here, but it will still be rather interesting to see how the Bears treat their former teammate in that meetup.
With Gonzaga graduating two of its most proficient three point shooters, the Bulldogs definitely had a need for someone like Mathews.
On the opposite side, Cal will try their best to make up for Mathews's three point shooting with grad transfer Grant Mullins and Jabari Bird, but it's fair to say the Bears might see a significant downturn in their outside shooting. It's going to be tougher for sure.
Best of luck to Jordan! Go Bears!
