Jaylen Brown is is in the NBA. Brown was picked 3rd overall by the Boston Celtics.
Brown surprisingly picked Cal over several other blue blood programs as a freshman, and had a very solid lone year with the Bears. Brown averaged 14.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, two assists and earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Year status before deciding to go one-and-done. The Golden Bears had their first perfect season at home for the first time in 56 years, and earned their highest ever modern seeding in the NCAA Tournament.
Brown is the first Golden Bear to be picked in the first round of the NBA Draft since Ryan Anderson was picked in 2008, and the first Golden Bear to be selected in the lottery since Shareef Abdur-Rahim was picked 3rd in the 1996 NBA Draft.
