With the Pac-12 tournament coinciding with the start of spring practice (and Rob one of those on the scene in Vegas), no one was really in attendance on Wednesday. So I have literally nothing to tell you. There are no real reports at all available publicly anywhere.
Good news is it doesn't sound like much of anything of note happened in the open session. The only beat writer on hand was Eugene from Cal Rivals, and there were only a handful of Tweets there too.
The brief report from CalBears.com!
All five quarterbacks on the roster took 11-on-11 reps for the second consecutive practice Wednesday with Ross Bowers leading the way by completing 6-of-6 passes for 105 yards. Chad Hansen (2-74), Worstell (2-48) and Brandon Singleton (2-34) had two receptions each to pace the receivers, while Patrick Laird (2-15) was the leading rusher.
An interception by Damariay Drew that he ran back 20 yards and an eight-yard tackle for loss by Cameron Saffle were the defensive highlights of the 11-on-11 session along with Wilson's sack.
Here's a few press quotes!
Patrick Worstell
"It's competitive and I think that makes it good, but we all have a great relationship, too," Worstell said about the wide receiver position. "That makes it fun when we're out here. We're all going 110%. It's good competition, but we're all good buddies and that makes it fun."
Devante Wilson
"I'm just trying to leave it all out there. This is my last year to show what I've got and hopefully make it to the next level. I'm just trying to push it every day. I'm trying to get my pass rush better. I need to get to the quarterback more."
