DBD 6.17.14  USA! USA! USA!

As always, the greatest and bestest footy calls are made on Spanish language TV. Listen here for the call on Dempsey's goal after 29 seconds, the 5th fastest goal ever scored in a World Cup match.

GOLAZO

Supposedly, 20,000 Muricans were at the Natal stadium to see our beloved Yanks tell Ghana to suck it. In case you didn't know, more tickets were sold in the US than any other country save Brazil, the host country. Watching the glazed looks of disbelief on the faces of the Ghanian players, I was prompted to post the following on Facebook:

"No one told me that Ghanian tears would taste so delicious."

I don't think I've ever typed a truer statement that that right there, folks. Bring on Portugal on Sunday! The battle of 2 teams to see who is less crippled! Matching up Jozy Altidore's hamstring snap versus Fabio Coentrao's ruptured groin! Wooooooooooooooooo! Suck it, heathen Portogee!
