If you'd like to discuss the World Cup in today's DBD, please use spoiler tags and do NOT rec any spoilered posts because there is a glitch on mobile that reveals spoiler tags on rec'd posts. Thanks!
What did we learn from the first game of the World Cup? It was confirmed that Brazil remain moderately talented at the soccering but extremely talented at bitching, moaning, grumbling, imaginary card waving, diving, self-congratulating, preening, and general ass-hatting. It was also confirmed that all that money didn't only go into shipping an entire stadium into the middle of the jungle, some of it is in a contingency account for friendly refereeing decisions.
I am indebted to my brother for this pithy summary of Brazil's chances after he had watched the game: "Don't put the champagne on ice quite yet, Brazil. Scotland beat this Croatia team twice."
Anyway, today we get to see hot excitement like Chile - Australia, Spain - The NEtherlands (HUP HOLLAND!), and Cameroon - Mexico (dos a cero! dos a cero! dos a cero!)... which we can discuss starting sometime on Saturday because Golden Oso is going old school and not using any mobile technology to watch games.
